Not sure how many of you know about the joint venture between R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane & Curt Shilling to create a new MMORPG, but they will be announcing it at the ComicCon in SD (yeah I know almost all of you are in NJ). Below is the link and the post. I'm going to try and go and I'll try to post some info for those of you who may be interested.

---

July 17, 2007 - Last fall Boston Red Sox Pitcher Curt Schilling announced he was founding a videogame production house, 38 Studios, with Todd McFarlane and author R.A. Salvatore on board for creative assistance. Later this month the company will be revealing the fruits of its efforts at Comic-Con 2007. The game is a massively-multiplayer online (MMO) affair based on a new intellectual property (IP), featuring the artistic design of McFarlane and storytelling by Salvatore.

The title is apparently fantasy-themed, as Schilling promises the unveiling will please "millions of fantasy MMOG fans worldwide."

No more details have been revealed as of yet, but expect to find out more about this mysterious MMO, the new IP, and 38 Studios at Comic-Con.

"38 Studios' serious star talent has extensive roots in the comic-book industry, making this show a natural forum for our company," said Brett Close, CEO and President of 38 Studios. "At 38 Studios, we are blurring the line between forms of entertainment, including comics, games, movies, and books, to ultimately deliver a unique new world to consumers that is both emotional and entertaining. We will provide a small glimpse into that world at this year's Comic-Con."

Not really anything of value was distributed at Comic Con about the new MMORPG.
