Honestly I saw the match going alot worse.

It must have been because Gorka was split, and Bill spending most of his time arguing with Gorka rather then paying attention!

I'm still naming two of my mordheim orcs after you and Bill because of the anamosity rule.

Good evening, geeks!

Well, for everyone who wasn't there, the settlement of New Cadia is still standing and the coalition of Cawdor & Escher raiders was repelled by the Van Saar and the Enforcers.

What a crazy game! So much mayhem for only three rounds!

And for the record, there's either crossed ley lines or a dimesional rift or something by the one table that prevents any decent dice rolls from occuring. I haven't seen so much terrible rolling since the last time I played my Chaos Warriors! Bill & Gorka, you have my sympathies.

So, when do we do this again? I should have more terrain by the next time. Perhaps we can even have a third table for tunnels that connect the two tables? I've got plenty of zombies finished to haunt said tunnels.

If it were feasible, I'd have something at the Geekarama very similar to the Mordheim Geek's Gauntlet I did at the store for Halloween.

That was actually more of a rhetorical question, but it would be nice to do again.

I likely won't be around until after Labor Day. The Parkway is a cruel mistress this time of year.

But I will be at Geekarama. Already making the next batch of medals. They have ribbons this time. Maybe Bill will have a New Hope-esque medals ceremony.

Brian, I have a bunch of Mordians now, what would be a good gang for them to represent?

I'd say most likely Orlocks or Van Saar (as VanSaar are big on uniforms).

Would you let me proxy them as goliaths to see if I'd enjoy Goliaths?

The fluff to goliaths has caught my interest, but I don't want to spend any money yet untill I play a bit iwth them.

Alternativly, got any goliaths I can use and try them out?

If I enjoy the gang, I do plan to buy chaos mauraders and the goliath box set and make a gang out of them.

Goliaths? Shame you didn'y get Catachans instead!

I'd say Mordians would be suitable, as they're at least Imperial humans. The down side is that Goliaths are more closecombat oriented and Mordians are sculpted exclusively with lasguns.

My Goliaths haven't come in yet, so you don't get the luxury of using my models. But try out the Mordians as proxies.

If you end up liking the Goliaths, you could order a sprue of Catachans and a sprue of Marauders & mix them. You'll get 40K weapons & mohawk-y heads and you'll get good melee weapons & some more barbaric pieces to work with. Plus they'll be relatively cheap and unique.

actually, my commanders have swords and laspistols, so for my juve proxies I can use them.

Didn't think of using the catchacan sprue combined, would the two combined also enable me to make some orlocks? I ask because I figure might be better to get two gangs out of them even if I only play goliaths.

Well, using mostly Catachans, you can make decent Orlocks. Use a few purity seals together on the belt-buckle to make the loincloth (or greenstuff if you feel daring, FBO) and use Catachan torsos (the ones with the wifebeaters preferably, but we can greenstuff vests on a few), legs, and heads that have headbands. Use mostly Marauder parts for the Goliaths, mix in Catachan arms with the guns and use the mohawky heads. We can also greenstuff mohawks on the Marauder drummer head (after you snip off the topknot).

So, the simple answer is yes; we can very easily make both gangs with the plastic pieces.
