Brain Control was activated first. (in a chain by itself).
Then Enemy Controller was activated (in a chain by itself).

Even though they are two different chains, they will resolve in order of use.

Technically, during the End Phase, Great Shogun Shien would return to Begley, and then return to Eric.

Again, technically, it shouldn't just stay on Eric's side. If Begley has nothing else set, then ya', I can see doing that...and most people would. But what if (for some bizarre reason) an opponent wanted that Shogun Shien to come back to them so that they could activate say a Mystic Wok or something similar during the End Phase?

Chances are a Mystic Wok would have been activated in response to Eric's Enemy Controller, but forgetting what you have set is all too common. They may have missed the chance to chain to EC, and need that monster to come back over to rectify their stupidity (O.K., yes, I'm talking about me! lol. ...It could happen).

Random: Prime Material Dragon.

If you try to Bottomless Trap Hole this guy and the controller negates BTH, then it isn't removed right? Or will it only negate the destroy effect?

Just wondering, and pretty sure I know the answer which makes me a sad Panda against Jamie. I lost to that damn card once and I will find I way to take it.

The owner of Prime Material is discarding to negate the activation of the card. If a card's activation is negated, then it never gets a chance to do anything...as if it never happened at all.

Just for reference, if any card that has a cost is negated (like Premature Burial or Phoenix Wing Wind Blast), the cost must still be paid by the person who attempted to activate it.

For instance:

Player A summons Prime Material Dragon

Activation:
Player B- activates BTH
Player A- chains Prime Material's effect to negate BTH, and discards a card
Player B- chains Divine Wrath to negate Prime Materials effect, and discards a card

Resolution:
-Divine Wrath negates Prime Material's effect
-Prime Material's effect is negated
-BTH resolves properly, Prime Material is destroyed and removed from play

Harv is correct. :)

I am now 16 since today is my birthday. I will soon take the judge test and maybe I can help the geek with rulings too.

I keep up with the rulings often so hopefully I will pass. ;)

Happy Birthday and good luck.

Also on Sat remind of your birthday so you can pick up your free birthday pack of cards.

Thanks, I thought that was how it works, that make me a sad panda. So what are good ways to get rid of Prime Material Dragon when one plays Big City? I don't exactly have th power to run over it without Shrink, but aside from that is there anything I can do? Divine Wrath isn't exactly one of my top choices for a side board card.

Some great ones would probably be like D.D. Warrior Lady, D.D. Assailant, and D.D. Warrior. They would fit into the "warrior" support of a Big City deck, and could get Prime Material off the field and into the RFP pile. Those monsters effects do not destroy Prime Material. They are being destroyed by battle, not Prime Material...so, you take a little damage by plowing a D.D. Warrior Lady into Prime Material...and get rid of that Prime Material goon for good!

Some other choices would maybe be cards like Solemn Judgment, Forced Back, Mask of Restrict...but they would be hit and miss.

Thanks, somehow I forgot about the D.D. Warrior clan.

Actually, divine wrath would destroy prime material and send it to the graveyard and bottomless would resolve without effect.

That was a healthy bodge-up on my part. Leave it to Vince to catch and correct me...punk.

I was thinking about the negation part of Divine Wrath, and forgot that it destroyed the card it negated. So, yes...Divine Wrath would negate and destroy Prime Material, and Bottomless would just disappear (resolve with no target).

Yup-Yup.

Only you Jamie. :)

I am making LV 1 Vannila OTK. Consistent but nothing compared to Zombies, Vannila Beatdown, or my Plant build. :)

Just for fun and too see the look at someones face if they getting owned by a triangled Charcoal Impachi and friends for 13000 direct.

Erik, in Big City run 2-3 DD Warrior for a viable set or opening play, to counter G-Beasts and Prime Material Dragon.

You mean side them, right? My monster line up is pretty solid, as of now. I may main D.D. Warrior Lady, but the others, I would side them.
