Usually no responce is a good responce but what's the official calling Gorka?

I know you said no to the Brets, but they would be easiest for me since They go hand in hand with my army, and I can order stuff from Bill (such as footknights and the like) to mix it up.

Orcs work because I havn't yet converted them to 40k, and have plenty of them to use.

Sorry I have not had the time to read the rules. Just been busy with side work and helping friends. But they seem ok. One Love

I would love to play but my days available to go are limited. I am also having trouble finding the rules for Mordhiem and it sounds interesting. Would we still play on sundays like usual or would the day be changed. IF we don't play on Sunday then I don't believe i could play until after December 5th.

Bill has an Undead warband on consignment at the store and soon there will be a Witch Hunter warband there as well. How do I know? Because I converted & painted them!

So next time you're at the Geek, take a look. They're both core rules legal warbands and they're all ready for gaming.

The Brets and Orcs and goblins are not on the specialist site. The only things there are Dwarf treasure hunters and roster sheets and book. And a few add ons they did later such as City on Fire.

I pulled up both links from the specilist site for both the brets and the orcs.

I didn't make those links up, I'm not that skilled!

http://www.specialist-games.com/assets/BretonnianWarband.pdf

http://www.specialist-games.com/assets/damobrules.pdf

Here they are again from page one.

Brets are found under articles, and orcs+gobbos are found under the main rules, entitled da mob rules.

The probablem with having Brets there is that Cavalry can not move through rubble and such. Orcs and goblins make a little more sense but the fluff doesn't ease in with the other fluff used for the Mordheim theme. i guess you may use them but i'm not the GM.

Yeah the dwarfs are extra but the fluff was added a long time ago. They aren't like some of the armies that got added into Mordheim for the fun of it. And Frank thanks for the link and the papers.

Well the orcs have alittle statement saying they are drawn into mordheim because of the wyrdstone. And the orcs were added a long time ago, and are on the official list of official tournment legal warbands.

My point is that there is just as much bacikng of dwarves as there is orcs. Now Gorka ok'd the orcs so it's all good, my point was though that there is background to the orcs being there, as there is for the dwarves, however both are in the same boat.

According to wikki.

Quote:
Mordheim Warbands
In Mordheim, a warband is a defined group of adventurers, warriors, wizards, priests, mercenaries and/or animals that fight as a tactical unit. Each player controls one warband, composed of a certain number of warriors, each represented with a miniature. All the warbands have the same general game mechanics (i.e. stats, composition, etc) but each individual group has specific advantages/disadvantages.

These traits are represented in various forms, such as total number of warriors allowed, special abilities, point costs, movement, etc. Over time, the people at Games Workshop and the Specialist Games have created, play tested and publish many kinds of warbands; one for each type of troop or race available from the range of Games Workshop miniatures.

Informally, fans have grouped available warbands as follows:

Official Warband: Any warband published by Games Workshop, which is currently allowed to be used on Official Games Workshop Mordheim Tournaments. They are listed on the Specialist Games Mordheim Rules Review.
Unofficial Warband: Any warband published by Games Workshop, which is currently NOT allowed to be used on Official Games Workshop Mordheim Tournaments. They tend to be listed on the Specialist Games Mordheim Rules Review, but as a rule of thumb... if it is not explicitly listed as Official, then it is unofficial!
Experimental Warband: Any warband NEVER published by Games Workshop, and thus is NOT allowed to be on Official GW Mordheim Tournaments. For obvious reasons, they are not mentioned on the Specialist Games Mordheim Rules Review. They are usually home-brewed warbands and thus may be poorly balanced. Some of them appear to be ready for the big time, but they have never been submitted to Specialist Games for review or simply have been lost in the shuffle.
OFFICIAL WARBANDS

Cult of the Possessed (Chaos)
Dwarf Treasure Hunters (Dwarves)
Marienburg Mercenaries (Empire)
Middenheim Mercenaries (Empire)
Orcs & Goblins Hordes (Orcs)
Reikland Mercenaries (Empire)
Sisters of Sigmar (Empire)
Skaven Warband (Skaven)
Undead (Undead)
Witch Hunters (Empire)

Looks like the "official" warbands are orcs, dwarves and the ones in teh rulebook.

The bretonians specificly state they weren't there  but the rules are included if you want to use them anyway. Says so right in that pdf I linked.
