Hey could you explain the second part of the Bewitching trait to me? p.20

"When dealing with NPCs whose starting attitude is
neutral or better, you can temporarily improve their attitude toward
you by two categories rather than one with a successful Diplomacy
check. If you choose this option, the NPC’s attitude jumps up two
categories for a number of minutes equal to your Charisma score.
After that time, it returns to the state it held before you made your
Diplomacy check. If the NPC is now violent or otherwise more hostile
than neutral, he remains there rather than returning to his original
state."
So it's saying if you pissed off the npc it stays pissed off?

Yes. If you piss of an NPC your ability wearing off isn't going to make him forget why he is mad at you. But if he isn't pissed you get a boost in using the diplomacy check.

Hey guys I have a wierd request. What kind of monsters would you like to fight? Please give me your favorite...we'll go with three...monsters to fight as you make your way across Ancient Egypt to destroy the towers.

O! Mind control monsters! Like the ones in Ben's campaign where my pixie ended up attacking the party members cuz she failed her save.

Also: Fish. Fish from hell. But if that isn't possible... Can we fight two headed creatures? They're cool.

Creatures who are on fire! That's another good one.

Can we fight warforged? Evil warforged?

I would also like to see us fight things that swallow us whole so we can fight our way out. Very cool

What about death slugs? They're slow, but so help you god if it catches you. It oozes death!

Thats right, I'm gonna keep babbling off the first thing that comes to mind until somebody posts besides me on this topic......

How about a group of evil bards? We would slaughter them, but they would be slaughtered with style....

Can't fight warforged. They are constructed using magic and advanced science. This world has neither. They don't even have pyramids yet.

So pretty much no one responded, typical. But I actually need this one guys. I am trying to come up with encounters that will have different people's favorite monsters. The third tower would essentially be "Derek's tower" or whoever because those monsters were used in the creation of the tower.

Update: I managed to get two copies of a paper version of Iron Heroes. Okay so I went to Staples and had them print and bind my file into a book, twice. But we will have hard copies of the book to use during sessions.

Does anyone have a crappy Ipod they aren't going to use?

In Diablo II you had to fight these satanic cows who walked upright, carried halberds and generally swarmed you and beat the living daylights outta you. I'd love to see an iron heroes version of them.
Things that swallow you and you have to fight your way out of are always cool.
Oooohhh! Monsters that are way stronger than you and could wipe your entire party one character at a time but can be beaten using a puzzle or the monster is really stupid and you can just disguise yourself as a corpse to get it to leave you alone
Or, or, or monsters that infiltrate the party and only look like adventurers. Those are fun.
What about a monster that vomits massive amounts of blood at you as an attack? That'd be wicked sweet. Projectile blood vomit.
ZOMBIES!!! Zombies are the sh*t!! They rock. Have some.

You asked what I liked. That's what I like...

The monster/character infiltrating the group or the impossible monster that can only be defeated through a puzzle would make for very memorable game sessions though

http://www.mybirthcare.com/favorites/pg1/Egyptian-names.asp

Here is a list of Egyptian names to help make your character fit in with the setting. I will be using these names for NPCs so it will be awkward for Kafele the merchant to be haggling with Joe the berserker.

Also- no one can use the name Moses. I don't care if it is on page two of the site.[/url]
