I can try that. Anyways, I will stop by at the tournement early for trades.
I just spent like an hour helping someones Monarch deck on Yugiohetc lol. It was all over the place. So I built him a quick Spinarch deck, with PWWB and ****.
I also made a Gadget Deck as a secondary tournement deck alongside Vannila Beatdown. Its more for fun though, and have been enjoying it.
I know 3 of each Gadget is bad, but I really wanted to abuse the fact that I have 3 Fissure, and I wanted enough hand fodder for 3 Lightning Vortex.
Monsters:17
2 Legendary Jujitsu Master
1 Neo Spacian Grand Mole

Spells:15
3 Fissure

3 Shrink
Traps:13
3 Royal Oppression

Gadget Monarch, seems interesting.
Also, I just passed the Konami Yugioh Judge test with an 80% on my first try, without playing in a long time! It was quite the easy test in my opinion.=D
Did you take the Konami judge test yet Begley?
If not, you can take it right here. - http://www.konami.co...judgetest01.php |

The link worked fine on yugiohetc.com.
The judge test is a joke, don't worry. It is basically just an age requirement and rulebook knowledge.

WTF is Raiza doing at 3? Isn't that the spin to the top of the deck Monarch? it was at 1 when I stopped playing! Is Ciaus semi limited or do you not have a third? Run more of him if you can, the RFG effect is awesome to hit anything with. The little bit of burn hitting a dark monster isn't too bad either. You can always nuke an opponent's Monarch should you face the mirror.
Cut the 1x Solemn, I don't think it is worth it unless you have more. Are traps not being run anymore or are you scared to hurt your own Oppression so you have no mass "destroy all spell/trap card"? I can't remember the name of it. _________________ Face it, you're pretty much here as a meat shield.

Mhm, Raiza is at 3 now. =)
3 Raiza and 3 Caius seems overkill, and Thestalos is god... idk lol.
Solemn is limited to one, its very good for stopping big plays, and protecting your Necrovalley and Oppression. It was much better in 3's though.
Heavy Storm isn't included in here since I run 3 Necrovalley, and 3 Royal Oppression. I cannot risk blowing those up. |

yeah raiza is not as bad now even at 3 solemn at one is a take i or leave it inclusion in the deck.and 9 traps is actually alot for a deck.
besides most decks these days run only chainable traps like pwwb or threatening roar
also that judge test was easy as ****. _________________ The first rule of Yugioh is: Don't talk about Yugioh.

I think the deck is complete. Now I will want to work on something else after I use my Monarch deck in tournements alot.
What are some of the new theme decks that came out in the last few sets? Once I win some packs, I want to make a new deck. =) |

the biggest one is blackwings. they came out in crimson crisis and have been present in sets and the competative tournament scene since. _________________ The first rule of Yugioh is: Don't talk about Yugioh.

Mhm, I played against Pizano's Blackwing deck, and Vince's a while back. They seem like a swarm deck, and I do love those. However, I only have a Stardust Dragon as of yet... so it may take a while to make those if at all.
How are Kouku Meirus? They seem like fun. How do they play? Do they Synchro as a win condition? |

koaki meirus are all about NOT synchroing and are very anti light/dark. the only person building them is pizanno and he should be done soon as all of their good cards are now offcially out since we just got stardust overdrive.
as far as your lack of synchros goes you should know they are not hard to come by. most everybody has them in their binders and a bunch of them come in tins. so buy some tins and trade some cards. _________________ The first rule of Yugioh is: Don't talk about Yugioh.

Why don't you tune the Monarch deck? The deck may be complete, but it can get tuned to fight the people at Play All Day, Jester's, regionals, etc. The side board is pretty needed and is one of the most difficult aspects of th game to do well. You need to play a lot of matches against different decks and different builds so that nothing throws a monkey wrench into your game. Do not worry about making a new deck every couple days. You are playing in tournaments so set up to do well. You should have a game plan to drop specific cards against different decks and most importantly- know why you are dropping those cards for game 2!
I have been out of the loop for Yu-Gi-Oh but I know game theory, CCG strategy and tournament preparation. Also make sure that you are not going to lose to some random kid's janky piss-and deck in a larger tournament where bottom of the barrel sign up. Tuning against the best is needed, but the really bad players will make bad decisions that can cause good players to lose because those decisions can't be predicted because the benefits are non existent.
Wow- long post. Summary: Tune the Deck! Test a lot, play a lot, learn your deck backwards and forwards, then move on only if something much better hits your way. Making a weaker deck because you want to make decks will only hurt your performance. _________________ Face it, you're pretty much here as a meat shield.
