Friday was crazy. We had 12 players, all running EDH decks. Next week will also be EDH. We tried a different method of deciding which players are grouped together. It didn't work out quite as hoped. It's okay though, it was an experiment and we learn a lot when things don't go as planned.

Any way generals:
    Table 1
    John- Merieke Ri Berit
    Burns- Mishra
    Eric- Intet
    Cayla- Isperia
    Erik- Phelddagrif
    Hudson- Jenara

    Table 2
    Gollum- Oona
    Andrew- Savara
    Nick- some blue general
    Evan- Mayel
    Sam- Treva
    Ben- Thrax

Next week will be EDH, we will not be drafting players again.

I'm not sure about how I feel acknowledging you as a real person. It just feels wrong.

NOTE: If you need a deck start asking now.

well you should at least acknowledge the chair I was sitting on. It would probably be pretty torn up otherwise

Yes, there was a very nice chair with no real person occupying it. That chair graciously sat through an entire EDH game with no complaining and simply wanting us to leave and place it back on top of the table. Instead we played for a few hours and took up that chair's precious time. But it does not have some good stories.

Wow, I never posted about the EDh game last Friday. We had 2 games. I don't remember much aside from not winning but it was a great night.

    People and Decks
    Gollum- Oona
    Erik- Oros
    Eric- Numot
    Becky- Borborbygmos
    Katie- Isperia
    Hudson- Jenara
    Sam- Treva
    Andrew- Savra
    Ben- Niv-Mizzet

I don't even remember everyone who was there. Can people help me?

Was that the week I made Hugs roflstomp an entire table? Or was that some other week?

Sidenote: I have a prototype EDH deck now.

Epic games this week!

We started off, for those who missed and read this, with a 10 man game of the hunt. It got done in about 90 minutes. That was a pretty fast time for a gigantic game. The Luminarch Ascension.dec brutally wiped that game. Erik claimed the win.

Then we split into two 5 man games. The emperor game's first team won with set up of vampires-discard-G/W stomp. The other table had a bunch of random effects go off until the Myr took the win. Brittany-Hudson-Brody won the emperor game and Erik won the chaos game.

Then there was another game with the same people. The emperor table shifted teams a bit and there was some deck changing happening before the chaos game started. The winning emperor team was John B-Brittany-Andrew using slivers-discard-R/W deck. The chaos game was won by Ben after a grueling game where the chaos stack showed us who were boss a lot. More than that. Keep going. We're talking Hypergenesis-> Destructive Force-> Recall Balance type flips. Ben was using my URzatron deck to take the win.

While the chaos game was finishing up there was a two-headed giant game played. The winning team was Hudson-Brittany using Goblins-Discard. Their opponents were John B and Brody.

The final game of the night was a 6 person free for all. The game came down to Ben playing kingmaker between Cayla and Erik. He killed Cayla and Erik combo killed Ben once the turn was passed.

Summary:
(10 Man Hunt) Erik with Luminarch Ascension
(5 Man Chaos) Erik with Myr
(Emperor) Brittany- Hudson- Brody won with Vampires- Discard- G/W Stomp
(5 Man Chaos) Ben with URzatron
(Emperor) John B- Brittany- Andrew with Slivers-Discard-R/W Deck
(Two Headed Giant) Hudson-Brittany with Goblins-Discard
(6 Man FFA) Erik with Poor Man's Combo

For next week's games, what are we playing? What format?

Friday night saw two 5 man EDH games. The right table had Andrew, Gollum, Alexa (I think this is her name), Burns, and Evan (who is visiting). The left table had Erik, Sam, John, Ben, and Eric.

I don't remember any winners. I know that I played three games, but the third was a mashing of the people who were left to have a 6 man EDH game.

This week Wed-Fri from 11-5 in spart's we're playing respawn magic.

Okay guys, what do you guys want to see next semester?

Me, I would love to play more 60 card (EDH once a month) and see our metagame diversify. We need people to run enchantment decks, recursion decks, tribal decks, control decks, decks with dedicated discard, and more decks like that. Also a combo deck a night wouldn't be bad, it keeps people on their toes.

I also want to play some different formats like Octant. Also, we need to get more people in the group. Additionally we need some more people who will show up weekly or almost every week.

One last thing, we need to get more people on here and responding.

We need more non-erik decks. Not saying I don't enjoy playing them, because I sure as hell do, it's just that a victory with those are a tad less fulfilling than winning with my own.

Well, you've got a month. Build a new deck. Big Stealy works well in your area. Another common multiplayer deck that could work is MBC (mono-black control) that would add another control deck to the group and give you a deck that is good and similar to your play style.

Of course a mono red MP burn would work too and your turns would be faster. That is something we all can appreciate!

I think we should play more FFA games... Can we do that this spring, please?
